THE FUTURE OF FOOD

The doors opened at 6.00, fabulous organic food was enjoyed by all and the movie started just after 7.00.  After the film we had an on-stage panel of experts, consisting of Dr. Karen Coates from Xtra Health, Alf Orpen from oneGroup, Dierdre Parkinson N.D. from Xtra Health, and Alasdair Smithson, Certified Organic Farmer from Munch Crunch Organics.  Everyone had a fabulous night and the Basement was packed to the rafters. 

FUEL

Join us for the Premiere of the multi award winning documentary FUEL before it hits the cinemas. It's a rousing and reactionary, in-depth, personal journey of oil use and abuse, as it examines wide-ranging energy solutions other than oil. Fabulous Organic Food and Wine will be available from 6.00pm. After the 6.30pm screening our panel of experts will discuss the issues raised by the film, and field questions from the audience.

HOMEGROWN

Wed 12th May @ The Gold Coast Arts Centre

HOMEGROWN follows the Dervaes family who run a small organic farm in the heart of urban Pasadena, California. While "living off the grid", they harvest over 6,000 pounds of produce on less than a quarter of an acre, make their own bio diesel, power their computers with the help of solar panels, and maintain a website that gets 4,000 hits a day. The film is an intimate human portrait of what it's like to live like "Little House on the Prairie" in the 21st century... Join us for the Gold Coast Premiere of HOMEGROWN.

One man, One cow, One planet tells their story through the teachings of an elderly New Zealander many are calling the new Gandhi.
